I love Fall....

Fall is in the air....
Yesterday morning was all about harvesting my herbs, preparing them for drying, picking vegetables from the garden and thinking how to use them, what to can for the winter, etc.
I love gardening!
Everytime I would come in with a bunch of herbs I would hold them under the girls' nose and ask, "what is this?" to which they would reply."hmm..smells good."
It reminded me this summer when I bought the pineapple peppermint and brought it home exclaiming all the way how excited I was about finding such a culinary oddity. I told Lacey that I wanted her to tell me what it smelled like and she did-she told me it smelled like bacon!
So, forever hereafter it will be the bacon plant.
Too funny!
Even the dog into the process...he picked all my green peppers and chewed them....bad dog.
I love the prospect of a new season as it approaches. It brings something new and fresh...something out of the mundane.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE SUMMER, especially this summer when we were in Kauai and Oahu....those beaches, that water, that beauty...amazing, but still I am looking forward to crisp mornings and shorter days....yardsaling.....yummy!
