We just got back from our annual camping trip at Seaside. It was awesome! Here are the highlights:1. the beach2. the fresh oyster feast3. the sandcastle contest at Cannon Beach4. watching my daughters surf with their boogie-board5. getting dumped on as we watched them surf and then tried to outrun it! (that was great...)6. playing cards really late with our friends, Ray and Sherri7. watching the sunset at the beach8. doing all things touristy at Astoria9. listening to the rain as it pelted the roof of our trailer every morning and being thankful we weren't in a tent like last year.10. the beachThere's somethin'.......'bout the ocean.....
from an adoring fan....
Apparently, I am an idiot and a republican sheep.....
have you WACK'd someone, lately?
My challenge to you, today is to WACK somebody! That's right, give a complete stranger a "Willing Act of Christian Kindness."Bless somebody's socks off by showing them selfless kindness for the cause of Christ. How do you do it?Create something like this:You've just beenWACK'd(Willing Act of Christian Kindness) Today, just for you, no strings attatchedto show you theLOVE OF CHRIST!!!!!"You are the light of the world.A city on a hill cannot be hidden.Let your light shine before menin such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, who is in heaven."Matthew 5:14, 16Print up some cards and get to blessin'.Pay for someone's coffee behind you and leave a card for them.Pay for someone's dry cleaning and leave a card for them.Offer to carry someone's groceries and leave a card.Bring the paper to your neighbor and leave a card for them.Offer to return a grocery cart, leave a potted plant on someone's doorstep, leave extra money in the pop machine, and leave a card for them.Bless someone today for no reason at all except to show them the love of Christ!!!!!!Then, tell me how it went, what you did, give me some ideas to share.I would love that!!!!!Keep on blessing......
my mission statement....
Why have a blog?I know some have them to keep in touch with friends, to network with people, to even make money. It's a hobby, a trend, for some, not for me.For me, it has always been a place where I can write freely about whatever is on my heart, it's....therapy, really.Blogging keeps me writing, keeps my thoughts free-flowing, it is my accountability partner.Sometimes I forget that other people read my blog and I am reminded when someone leaves a rude comment. It always shocks me, I think,"how dare you intrude on my thoughts!", but then, I remember that this blog, which I have chosen to make public, is a ministry, and I need to treat it as such.Sometimes, it is a ministry unto myself, but, more often, it needs to minister to others.I want to be more purposeful about ministering to others through this blog. That is my new mission because you just never know who is tuning in and I desire to be a good steward of my "air-time".
